Ron was so informative and did such a great job sharpening the knives. Not only did he sharpen our knives but he educated us throughout the entire process. He also told us how to better care for our knives so we could prolong the life of our sharpening. Not in his best interest but certainly in ours!
Ron Berman is a very nice, somewhat older gentleman, working out of his garage. He loves to learn about you and fill you in on all the steel and knifing secrets like the differences between Japanese and German steel or how to store a blade properly (magnetic strip). He's also very honest and can give you recommendations on new knives to buy and where to get them.
Overall a very interesting experience. As for the knives, well i cut myself cooking later that day, so I'd say he did a phenomenal job
Inherited some very expensive, but very dull, kitchen knives from my in-laws. Brought them to Ron and he quickly and expertly sharpened them in his home. Good work and reasonable prices.
